Captain's Blog

Many of you know me as Captain Borgnine, one of the owners of Avatar Island in Second Life. Its my job to oversee the comings and goings of the technology we use and to try and make sure that everyone who wants to use it, can use it. I also have to ensure that our partners get what they need and have as few roadblocks as possible in the way of getting their own avatar making installations in place.

At CyberExtruder its my job to understand our clients' requirements and to act as the intermediary between the programmers and the client. Many times a client will have a vision for the manner in which an application will work but not understand how to get the process to an endpoint. This is where I step in and help them to focus on their goals and come up with a way in which they can leverage CyberExtruder's software and knowledge to achieve the desired results.

If anyone reading this that would like to discuss a project that requires the personalization of an avatar, a video game or a virtual world I encourage you to call me to learn more about our offerings.

Are you aware that your "Avatar Island Manager" Rhaorth Antonelli has again "deputized" Mystykal Carver and Harleybeth28 Amoufhaz to do her job. She, herself is seldom here. In essence, she is being paid and has contracted out her job to others. Not that she is missed. She is on a serious power trip, instituting edict after edict. It is my understanding that she has now banned all but the most basic gestures. She also scolds people for being on mic, yet when she is here, she is CONSTANTLY on mic as if her every word is golden. Mind you, this is not Cyberextruder business or help she is relaying. Just random ramblings while her husband can be heard in the background swearing like a drunken sailor. I know you dealt with this before and you don't like dealing with this at all, but I just wanted you to be aware what is going on and to make you aware that their are a lot of people disgruntled by her continuing arrogance.

At Avatar Island, they are touting the release of a program called, "Avatar Island Rewards" for residents. This is one of those scams that requires you to fulfill a number off offers to get any benefits. The only thing you usually end up with is an email box stuffed with junk email. BE WARNED! This is the Better Business Bureau's listing for the company behind "Avatar Island Rewards" BBB Rating for OfferPal Media Based on BBB files, OfferPal Media has a BBB Rating of B- on a scale from A+ to F. Reasons for this rating include: * Length of time business has been operating. * Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints. Based on BBB files this company has a pattern of complaints. Complaints concern customers not receiving their reward points via third party offers. Complaints on file also concern the fact that emails to the company regarding status of reward points go unanswered or consumers receive automated responses that don't provide any status information regarding delivery of reward points. BBB has attempted to contact the business on these issues however the business did not respond.
